Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. CARTS is a recipient of Federal financial assistance for the support of public transportation services. Riders and the general public are welcome to review the proposed Title VI Program Plan and participate in a public hearing held as part of the Craven County Board of Commissioner’s meeting on August 7, 2023. The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is held in the Craven County Administration Building, 406 Craven St., New Bern, North Carolina.  The full written Title VI Program Plan is available on the CARTS website: https://www.cravencountync.gov/165/Transportation-CARTS.
