New Bern, NC – The Craven 100 Alliance (C1A), in partnership with the Havelock Regional Development Corporation (HRDC), are pleased to announce the extension of broadband internet services in the Havelock Industrial Park, located on Outer Banks Drive, Havelock, North Carolina, off Hwy 101 near MCAS Cherry Point.
The Park’s technology partner, Lumen Technologies, has been working with the C1A and HRDC this year on an agreement for services to be extended. An investment of $32,943 for this project was made in partnership by the C1A and HRDC and will provide an extension of services not only to existing business, but new developments, alike. Broadband services will extend to the end of the road, where available property sits and will be value added, giving the property viability and greatly increase its potential for development.
“Craven 100 Alliance understands the importance of broadband, especially in today’s economic climate. This is particularly true for the defense related industries that are target for the Havelock area,” says Jeff Wood, director of Craven County Economic Development.
Mr. Martin Cieszko, HRDC Board Member added, “This is a long-awaited and much anticipated business enhancement opportunity for the present and future industries in the Havelock Industrial Park. With this access to high speed internet services, we anticipate more interest in our Park from future residents and much improved opportunities for our current residents.”
