The Craven County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., or as close thereafter as possible, in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room of the Craven County Administration Building, located at 406 Craven Street, New Bern, NC on August 5, 2019, in conjunction with its regular meeting.  The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment on the proposed amendments to the Animal Control Ordinance, shifting responsibility from the Health Department to the Sheriff’s Office.  The draft of the proposed ordinance is available for viewing in the County Manager’s office and on the County website.
